Letters - Treading water

For many years now, the kids from Eden school have been offered swimming lessons in June because of the fact they have to stay in school an additional 15 minutes of everyday, a.m and p.m, to accomodate the children who are bussed from Neepawa.  Now however, because of Neepawa Recreation鈥檚 recent decision, swimming lessons for these kids are no more.

After close to six months of work, last week, the Neepawa Tourism committee launched the community鈥檚 new brand. I鈥檓 excited to see this greater focus on tourism and I鈥檓 not alone, judging from the strong turnout at the unveiling.

Fueling anger

In a recent letter to the editor, a reader rightly pointed out that with all the hand wringing and editorializing about increasing Hydro rates, we haven鈥檛 heard much about rising fuel prices. It鈥檚 a good point, for most 水果视频ns, fuel is a much more significant annual expense than hydro and the price increases have been much larger.
