My perspective - Hay, there鈥檚 a problem

It鈥檚 been a dry summer, after a winter that didn鈥檛 see a lot of snowfall and another dry summer last year. For livestock and forage producers, this prolonged dry spell has meant that hay crops are down, way down.

Yes, it is amazing how dumb some of today鈥檚 politicians can be. Seems that the mayor of Victoria, B.C. took it upon herself to get all upset about a statue of Canada鈥檚 first prime minster, Sir John. A. Macdonald.

What if we鈥檝e been thinking about work all wrong? I recently watched a TED talk by Mike Rowe, best known as the host of the Discovery Channel鈥檚 TV show, 鈥淒irty Jobs鈥. The talk is almost a decade old, but the issues remain relevant today.

Right in the centre - Things seem to be going backwards

The tragic news out of Alonsa on Aug. 3 was shock wave to everyone. A tornado snuck into the community and when it blew itself out somewhere near the western shore of Lake 水果视频, it left a path of death and destruction. One older man died, two injuries were reported. The physical damage to property was mind-boggling. Houses were destroyed or damaged, trees were torn apart, campers and vehicles destroyed.
