In the more than 13 years I鈥檝e been covering the news in the Neepawa area, one of the handful of stories that have really stuck with me took place in the summer of 2011. In August of that year, I spent a day with then-MLA, the late Stu Briese. Stu and I travelled from north of the Narrows, down the west side of Lake 水果视频, to talk to those who had recently seen their homes and livelihoods impacted by flooding.

The value of farmland in 水果视频 has been rising and it鈥檚 creating a challenge when it comes to succession within the industry. While rising prices are great news for those looking to sell, they鈥檙e not so good for those getting into the industry and looking to expand their farms through land purchases or rental.
