Long-time Neepawa business Herbs for Health is changing hands.  Local women Janet Husak and Karen Burton have purchased the health food store, which was opened by Elizabeth and Argyle Sneesby 25 years ago.

Riverdale District Health Auxiliary feels we had a successful ethnic food court this year at the annual 水果视频 and Craft Sale. It was co-ordinated by Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Sept. 20 and held at Riverdale Community Centre. Our numbers are down slightly but we sold out of most foods by 2 p.m. (The food court opened at noon; the sale opened at 11 a.m.). We were in a new area of the rink this year which allowed us easier access for bringing food down from upstairs. The eating area was also bigger because of our new space.

Course provides first hand experience

Now in its fourth year, the NACI Career Development course is helping students make informed choices about post-secondary education and career plans.  The goal is to educate students about potential careers and help them make choices based on their skills and interests.

Former mayor believes planning and partnerships will drive Neepawa鈥檚 future.

Bob Durston has watched the political landscape of Neepawa change dramatically since 2010. The former mayor, who once again wishes to represent the community, said after a four-year hiatus from the big chair, that this was the right time for him to step back onto the scene.
