It was good news to see that the senior levels of government were putting some money into municipal infrastructure this past week. The federal government is putting up half and the other half is being split between municipalities and the province. Hopefully that doesn鈥檛 mean there will just be less projects funded.

Thumbs up to the Barillas and their flower garden. Had a couple from Winnipeg stop in Kerreen鈥檚 and ask about it and ask who tended it, plus I know numerous grad pictures were taken thereI so think they need a thumbs up.
A second one to the Rotary for bringing the RCMP Musical Ride. What a great show they put on and well done by Rotary.

The other day, I got out of bed a little after four o鈥檆lock in the morning and wandered into the kitchen. There was a beam of light showing at the horizon and suddenly I heard a robin announcing a new day. This was certainly an early bird singing in a new morning. Even though it had been a rough night with rain and wind, it did not keep the bird from starting the day with a song in it鈥檚 heart.

It has been almost 27 years now that I have shared with you my life journey. The column has always been 鈥標悠礲odies鈥 though it has included detailed reviews of my holidays to Great Britain, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, France, Holland and all across Canada. My ramblings began as two hundred and fifty word reflections of every day living, and through the consent of the owners/publishers, I now ramble almost twice that long. My writings have recorded the marriages of my children, the births of my grandchildren and the joyous recording of the great-grands.

The old saying goes like this: 鈥淭here are three sides to every story鈥攜our side, my side and the truth.鈥 In view of some of the things that happened this past week, I鈥檇 like to reword that saying to read: 鈥淭here are three sides to every tragedy鈥攖he facts we hear, see or read; the speculation created by those who think they know why the events took place; and then the truth.鈥
