I just read two articles this morning that are enough to make an ordinary person cry. The first was about the many goofy ideas that get government grants. Some of the things we give government grants to are absolutely insane, such as groups making porn films, just as an example.

Most of us catch the meaning of ‘a Charlie Brown’ Christmas tree. We grew up watching the Christmas special and understand that the beauty is in being loved not in how we look! The Charlie Brown Christmas special is the longest running cartoon special in history– 49 consecutive years!

Whilst I sat at my keyboards, both computer and piano,

My Perspective - What do we want

Next summer, the lilies will still bloom in Neepawa, but there will be no festival. Last week, the festival board voted 13 to 2 to cease operations, meaning that there will be no future Lily Festivals in Neepawa.

Right in the centre - Peace among nations and at home

Normally at Christmas time, an editor might write about the birth of Baby Jesus, the Son of God coming to earth as a baby. It’s usual to point out that Jesus is Our Saviour, come to earth to save mankind from sin and death. The story is well known, just not well followed.
