Wolverines blank Neepawa in MJHL pre-season play.

A disappointing night for the Neepawa Natives on Wednesday evening, as the club was shut out by Wawayseecappo 7-0. After a scoreless first period in Wayway, the Wolverines went 4 for 4 on the power play in the second. They capped off the night scoring three more in the final period to seal the victory.

 Alex Keena was the leading scorer on the night, tallying three goals and an assist. Waywayseecappo outshot Neepawa 49-20 over the course of the game, including outshooting the Natives 21-1 in the second period. 

Neepawa is now has a 2-3 record for the pre-season and is preparing for three games over three nights this weekend. The team will play in Winkler on Friday, then host the Flyers on Saturday and then capp off the pre-season against Waywayseecappo on Sunday. he regular season begin Friday September 19th at the Yellowhead Centre against the OCN Blizzard.
