Lowry and the IceMen currently sit in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, two points out of a playoff spot. However, the two teams in front of the IceMen who are also battling for the eighth and final playoff position have two games in hand.

Lowry has played in 47 games with the IceMen this year, scoring 15 goals and 35 points. The 26-year-old forward rejoined the IceMen for a second time late January after he was released from his professional tryout contract by the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

He played in 19 games with the Tigers, scoring seven goals and 15 points.

The IceMen have six games remaining on their schedule. The club's next game is on Saturday in Orlando against the Solar Bears.
